1. Secret Great Gatsby style speakeasy in Los Angeles is creating an exclusive, member-only cocktail society.
Hello, Old Sport. No really, that’s the name of the first members-only, NFT-enabled speakeasy. And the concept mockups for the bar look straight out of the 1920s.
The only way to get into the bar is to own one of 1,920 membership NFTs or be one of three friends a holder can bring in. The location is secret and the bar will open in early 2023. The founder worked as a designer for Disney, Star Wars and Blue Bottle so it will definitely look incredible.
The public NFT mint starts Friday (7.29) at 9am PT/ 12pm ET. Memberships cost 1 ETH.

2. Usher links up with cognac brand, Rémy Martin to drop a limited edition bottle and NFT for 25th anniversary tour
Put a finger down if you share the same name as the 26th most important person at a wedding and are making custom bottles of cognac with Rémy Martin. Phew, that was a close one.
The “Usher x Rémy Martin 1738: A Taste of Passion” global campaign will feature 50 limited edition bottles. 25 are up for purchase for $500 on Blockbar.com on July 29 at 10am EST. Buyers will get both the physical bottle and accompanying NFT.
If you’re also wondering how the hell Usher got into this collab, he said, “I’m an artist at my core, so transforming an abstract sensory experience like taste into something visual really spoke to my creative process.”

3. Gatorade drops “Game Changers: Player of the Year” NFT card collection
Gatorade with an interesting entrance into the web3 space here. I was expecting a virtual sports drink or a “guess the color when coach dumps it on his head” play to earn game, but alas, I got outvoted.
Instead, they went with a digital card drop. For 3 days, anyone could buy a 3-card pack of digital cards for $5.
Each card pull could have been 1 of 12 athletes who had overcome immense obstacles and adversity to become pillars in their community and achieved tremendous success on the field and in the classroom.
To top it off, all of the sales proceeds went to a nonprofit called Good Sports, helping to drive equitable access to youth sports across the country.
