1. Disney’s secret Innovation Accelerator program selects Polygon as 1 of 6 companies in the 2022 batch
I also didn’t know that Disney had a secret innovation program designed to accelerate the growth of disruptive companies from around the world. But alas, seems like Mickey’s been working overtime.
Polygon was the only blockchain-native platform picked for this year’s cohort. It joins the ranks of companies like Flickplay (web3 social app to discover NFTs tied to real world locations with AR) and Obsess (experiential e-commerce to design 3D virtual stores)

2. Chipotle’s ‘Buy the Dip’ Promotion Includes $200K in Crypto for Customers’ Coinbase Accounts
Spoiler alert, this one is very cool. Chipotle made an online game called “Buy the Dip”. The contest to play the game runs through July 31, which also happens to be National Avocado Day. What are the chances?!
700K players across the country will win free food. 516 players will win varying crypto prizes from $1,250 to $35,000, paid in Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, Avalanche and Dogecoin directly into their Coinbase accounts.

3. Water and Music (a super cool music focused research DAO) produces in depth report about future of music in the metaverse
Water and Music is one of the coolest web3 projects that I’ve come across. They are a DAO (decentralized autonomous organization) that was specifically set-up to be the leading research publication on the future of music in a web3 world.
This is their latest (extremely in-depth) report highlighting 9 design principles that will contribute to a musical metaverse.
